Target Audience

The target audience for my magazine is girls aged 14 - 21 which is why I used bright colours. The kind of music they like is Indie, they love unsigned bands. Bands and acts they would listen to would be Florence And The Machine, The Rumble Strips and Marina And The Diamonds plus others. The places they might shop would be places like Topshop, H&M, Zara and especailly vintage clothing shops as it is supposed to be individual. Their favourite TV shows would be programmes like Skins and The Inbetweeners. They would also like Never Mind The Buzzcocks and The Mighty Boosh. Films that they would like is independant which is such things as Juno and (500) Days Of Summer. They would look up to Zooey Deschanel and Alexa Chung. They would be interested in careers in the arts like photography, music and media. They would spend their money on tickets to gigs, clothes, make-up and CD's. They would buy the magazine as it features new artists and it is female dominated magazine. The cover page would attract them as it features a new female artist on the page and the features that are shown are what the target audience will like.
